Collected at inquiry

When you submit an inquiry to contact a host regarding a property, Vacation by Host collects the following traveller personal data:

• Name
• Email address
• Optional phone number
• Travel dates (arrival and departure dates)
• Guest count (adults and children)
• Inquiry message

Passed to the host, in full

When you submit an inquiry, this traveller data is passed directly in full to the property host. This introduction enables the host to communicate with you directly by email, answer questions about their property, and coordinate your booking.

Vacation by Host never sells, rents, or shares traveller personal data with third-party advertisers, brokers, or marketing networks.

Kept indefinitely

Inquiry data is retained indefinitely with no automatic or scheduled deletion. Historical inquiry records are preserved permanently so that property hosts and platform administrators have an accurate record of communications and introduction history.

Removal: purge on request

Because inquiry records are kept indefinitely without automatic deletion, an administrator manual purge-on-request is the only removal path for an individual traveller's data.

To inspect the personal data held about you or request that an administrator permanently purge your inquiry records, write to privacy@vacationbyhost.com (or admin@vacationbyhost.com) — acknowledged and processed within 2 business days.

Search without an account

Vacation by Host is committed to clarity, restraint, and transparency in how we handle personal data. Travellers can search, view properties, compare pricing, and read host details without creating an account.

Cookies, Tracking & Server Logs

Vacation by Host operates without tracking cookies, advertising beacons, or third-party marketing pixels. We do not show cookie consent banners because we do not employ non-essential tracking technologies.

Traveller personal data is never written to server logs.
